The first task given to David, is to have a page dedicated on our site, to local producers of our food. This listing will include chefs, cafe, restaurant, wineries, cheese makers, food growers etc.
We need your help.
If you know of a local person who needs to be included on our list, please contact David Bedford. davidfbedford@sopris.net The information that we need is name, address, phone, email, and website and brief listing of what that individual is involved in.
Slow Food Roaring Fork is here to assist local growers in promotion and consumption of their products and is a conduit for chefs to demonstrate their creativity utilizing this product. Our listing of these suppliers and supporters of Slow Food will greatly facilitate the process of sourcing food for our members.

Hello Good Folks, Well, at last I am in Paonia for the spring/summer/fall growing season! The snow is all melted and the grass is going green. 2000 feet in elevation sure can make a difference! As I mentioned in an email a while ago, Fresh & Wyld is expanding into a Bed, Breakfast and Farm this year! The deal has gone through and it is truly an exciting dream come true for moi! Our plan is to have a huge garden to fill in the gaps from what we can't get from the other farmers. We will also start teaching workshops like crazy on everything from Canning to Soap Making and Composting, etc. We will have 6 rooms to rent, Friday and Saturday Suppers and Sunday Brunch. We will be a venue for Farm Dinners, Weddings, Yoga Retreats, etc. I will let you know more as we dream it and do it! Feel free to dream the dream with us! Our season is officially 18 weeks long. That goes from June 1st to Sept 1st. Our boxes average $58 or so with delivery and tax. That comes to around $1000.00. That is for the family of 4 box. If you are a couple or a single person, your CSA price for a 1/2 box would be $500.00.
